4-string Double Bass - String length 105,5 cm
One of the last instruments made by Alfred Meyer Senior – his son was still in a warzone, and he took care of the business himself. This instrument was regularly played over the last 80 years and got a total restoration in 2024, including a neckcraft, double edging on the top, and all cracks are glued and stable. A very accessible bass with a big body and a big tone. The sloping shoulders make it very easy to play and it is suitable for all musical styles.
