Repair & Sound Optimisation
A large part of our work consists of making old and new double basses sound better.
We love the challenge of helping you achieve the sound you are searching for. To feel the comfort of a good setup. We want you to concentrate on the music, not the bass and its challenges.
We are well known for doing the best setups. After hundreds, maybe thousands of new bridges and soundposts, we are still impressed by how big an improvement can be achieved just by a good "set-up".
Quick response, easy to play, even sound with lots of possible colours and nuances is our goal. Every bass can sound nice and be easily played.
We also do repairs and a few restorations on fine old instruments. But after repairing many double basses, inexpensive or historically important ones, we take all that experience and working hours into new K&T basses.
