Double bass Anonymous, approx.1880
String length 105 cm.
Probably built in Northern Italy or Tyrol. The repair slip is labelled with Vienna 1930. This instrument comes from the old collection of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and was played there for a long time. It seems to us like it´s made in Italy, due to the fact that there is not a clear determination of origin, the bass is rated as a beautiful Tyrolean instrument.
The bass is in stable repaired condition and got a new K&T bridge.
